Replacement Top Attachment Procedure

Take the entire marker out of the ground...remove the old marker top...wash the bottom with water and dry...heat the new top by submerging it in very hot water. If water is boiling, 20 to 30 seconds.

The next maneuver is comparable to putting a bicycle tire on a rim as shown.  As you circle the bottom plate use a screwdriver to stretch or open the under fold of the marker top.  When the top is completely on the bottom plate, press or flatten the underfold against the bottom plate. 

Reinstall in the original hole.  Be sure the marker is level and tight to the ground.
